Hello. Salam. Barev! I'm Jen, a Children & Family Portrait Photographer based in Los Angeles. I am self taught and have no professional training, just the love for photography. I am however, constantly learning new techniques and frequently attend newborn workshops to ensure baby's safety comes first when setting up advanced poses. I also have a background in Business Administration and prior to pursuing photography full time, I oversaw the operations of 22 retail stores and worked as a Human Resource Manager.
Here's my story:
When I was around 10, I borrowed my brothers Canon AE1 35mm Camera with a zoom lens and taught myself how to use it by trial and error (back in the film developing days). I was obsessed with the Academy Awards, Film and Actors. I wanted to photograph them. As a "tween", I would have
access to all the major Hollywood parties and award shows (sometimes by sneaking in). This sparked up my passion for photography. With a lot of patience and determination, I was able to teach myself how to operate the camera in manual mode and use flash.
In 2007, my passion as a Celebrity Photographer was taken to another level (an actual career), selling thousands of photos and being published in magazines around the world. I worked with several agencies that distributed my photos worldwide.
My Favorite Things
My son is my favorite person on the planet <3 I will most likely show up at your door with a giant Starbucks in my hand. People say I'm pretty funny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My mom thinks I take nice pictures and highly recommends me ;) I love binging Netflix & Hulu.... Currently watching Wednesday & Yellowjackets. I love True Crime shows and books. I feel like I was a DJ in a past life. Music feeds my soul. Audiobooks are my favorite obsession. I finish 2-3 in a week. I also speak 3 languages fluently, and am fascinated with learning about different cultures and languages outside of mine :)

I've been featured as one of the "Top Newborn Photographers in Los Angeles" by Expertise.com (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). In 2013, I was named Best Children's Photographer in Los Angeles by LA Parents Magazine. I'm a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) & NAPCP (The National Association of Professional Child Photographers).

I don’t know what to say about these folx 😂 I’ve known Arda and her family for years now. I had the opportunity to photograph her kids when they were younger. She’s become such a wonderful friend, and is hilarious. This session was by far one of the most hilarious I’ve done. We did a #multigenerationalphotoshoot with her sister and her family and their parents. She shows up with these props and I just about died. I’m sure many of you can relate to this photo during the #covidpandemic.
