HI, I'm Jen!

My son is my favorite person on the planet <3 I will most likely show up at your door with a giant Starbucks in my hand. People say I’m pretty funny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My mom thinks I take nice pictures and highly recommends me 😉

I love binging TV Shows…. Currently re-watching The Power on Prime (great book too btw). My son and I binged the new season of Wednesday on Netflix, and we are currently watching Haunted Hotel on Netflix. I love suspense and thrillers with a strong female protagonist.

I feel like I was a DJ in a past life. Music feeds my soul. Audiobooks are my favorite obsession. I finish 2-3 in a week. I also speak 3 languages fluently (Armenian + Farsi), and am fascinated with learning about different cultures and languages outside of mine 🙂

My Journey into Photography

Hi there! I'm Jennifer, but you can call me Jen. Grab a cup of coffee, and let me take you on a little stroll down memory lane as I share my photography journey with you.

It all began when I was around 10 years old. My older brother handed me a Canon AE-1 35mm camera, which, let’s be honest, was probably his way of saying he needed a little peace and quiet! Armed with the camera and a mountain of film (thanks, Mom and Dad!), I ventured into the world of photography, teaching myself the ins and outs by changing settings, snapping pics, and racing to the developing shop like a kid on Christmas morning. Spoiler alert: the photos weren’t always masterpieces, but boy, did I learn a lot!

Fast forward to college, where I majored in Film with dreams of being a movie director. I immersed myself in the film scene, hanging out on various sets, soaking up the atmosphere, and, of course, capturing candid moments (or embarrassing ones) with my trusty Canon AE-1. Sneaking into Hollywood events was like being in my own movie—complete with awkward celebrity encounters and hilarious photos that I still chuckle about today. Let’s just say my photography skills were a work in progress back then!

Years later, I found myself on the official red carpet, snapping photos at award shows and events. My heart raced with excitement as my work got published around the world! Looking back, it's wild to compare those early snaps to what I produce now. They tell a story of growth, humor, and probably a few too many questionable fashion choices.

Today, my passion has shifted towards family and kids photography. Nothing brings me more joy than capturing the essence of childhood—the giggles, the messy faces, and those fleeting moments so special to families. Huge shoutout to my son Dylan, my adorable nieces & nephews, and my goddaughter for being my greatest muses and allowing me to practice on them! You all make my job a blast!

With a leap of faith, I left my long-time career as a Human Resource Director to embrace photography full-time, and honestly? I’ve never looked back. It feels as if I’m doing what I was always meant to do.

So here I am, blending my love for children and photography together in this beautiful journey. I can’t wait to meet you and capture your family’s unique story! Let’s make magic together, one snapshot at a time.
