A Christmas-Holiday Session with The Cho Family – Family Photographers Los Angeles
It was that time of year again. The Christmas holiday season; a season that brings the joy of family gatherings and loved ones. We can’t hold ourselves back from those joyous moments. It’s that feeling of joy, warmth, and nostalgia people feel when the jingle bells start jingling.
We capture all those moments so we can remember them down the line. These holidays are times when dad is home, the mom isn’t at work, and the loved ones are around. And it’s the perfect time to capture the young kids when they run around and open their gifts. Later you can give them some nostalgic moments once they grow up. But these moments can be made more special by doing a family photography session with a photographer.

Their house is in Calabasas, CA, and I stepped into their decorated home. Their Christmas tree was glittering with lighting, the family was in Christmas pajamas dress, and it was a joy all over. Not capturing these perfect moments could become instant regret. But the Cho family did their best and made December memorable. The house consisted of some artistically decorated walls, creating a perfect spot for the camera to capture them.
Before I leave for a client location, I always check my camera gear and make sure all stuff is complete. I used my Canon 5d mark iv and 50mm and 24-70 lenses for this location. It’s perfect for indoor photography and gives the best result with lighting. Plus, I adjust my camera settings, such as ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
As mentioned about the few decorated walls, I took the opportunity to use them as a background. They also placed the Christmas tree near one of the walls. They also decorated the hearth with decor items, so I also added it to my background list.
After completing my inspection of the best places to shoot, we were all set to start our photo shoot. We started with solo shoots of Cho family kids. They gave me cute poses with the tree, wall, and fireplace. If you’re looking for a kids photographer, please check out my online portfolio.

The best moment was turning my camera to the newborn Kaylie, with whom I had already done a photoshoot. She looked adorable in her red and black check shirt, and I made the background furry which made her comfortable.
Next, we moved on to group photos and captured a family session. These photos give you a mushy feeling after years. I grabbed all those genuine feelings and moments while the family laughed and cherished them. The little boy standing with his father and the young girl standing with her mother will remember all the happy family moments and the loving bonds.
There were a lot of emotions involved which I cannot describe in words, but my lens has caught it. You can see them in these images. I always take my time and never rush to get all the authentic shots depicting the heart warming relationship between parents and kids.
You can use these photos on holiday cards, put them in your room or hang them in your house in a large frame. It will always remind you of the moments whenever you look into it.
